                Bryan is absent due to a rehearsal.

Band and Orchestra Sherri Powers

                Okemos is stepping up.

                Jackson may be able to start earlier and Adrian as well.  Just waiting to finalize this.

                Opening up registration on November 1st

                Sight Reading…there’s plenty of music.  Suggestion to consider a sale

If a check isn’t going to make it in on time, please contact Sheri before the deadline!

                Encourage the orchestral students to be a part of the Alternative Styles Day

                Middle Level Strings Deadline is 9/22/11

Adjudication Report: Jared Throneberry

                Will make sure to have an Adjudication Evaluation

                Hosts make sure to contact the Adjudicators after contracted.

                Could we create online survey?? 

                Good discussion on this.  Positively received.

                Discussion regarding getting string specialists to adjudicate at B&O for Orchestras (String Site).

Charles Bullard Report:

                Stacie has a good list of dates in her report

                Between Paul and Charles they’ve gone to 9 Fall Meetings

                Call before the deadline if there is a problem.

                Be sure to follow the check through the process to insure that it is completed.  

                Marching Band Adjudicator Workshop is occurring at CMU

                The E-Board of your District must approve your Marching Band Adjudication. 

                Please keep checking the MSBOA for a ton of information

                All-State Auditions Deadline is October 3rd 

                MMC will again have Jazz Bands included

                Look under MSBOA Members and Government Affairs Tabs.

                Question on MMC and where we sit on the status in follow-up to Spring Meeting?  Not at liberty to say, but there will be more to come…

                How do we handle Purchase Cards no longer using PO?  No we’re not accepting those but looking into it.

                Please inform the membership on the new curriculum.  Paul, Charles, and many others replied to the invite on the new curriculum.

                Motion Made:  Give the Tempo minimum for Proficiency I: 80  Pro II 100, Pro III is 120.

                Policy on workers…multiple directors and work assignments.

                Motion to get Copper Metal and charge $2.50

                Free Battle Creek Brass Band Flier and Information regarding their free clinic December 2, 2011 at 4pm

                Workers discussed for policy. One suggestion is to have a VP of workers for the District.
