OLD BUSINESS
o Creation of an All-state Chairperson tabled to fall
§ MS Honors Band will be moved due to Spring break conflicts
§ Audition date will not change
Motion by Kevin Culling, second by Mark Stice, to move Middle School Honors Band from 4/12-13/08 to 5/18-19/08. Discussion. Motion passed.
Motion by Jared Throneberry, second by Mark Stice, to move Middle School Honors Band Deadline from 2/6/08 to 3/19/08. Discussion. Motion failed.
o Kevin reported on Okemos commissioning project in honor of Jan Birchman
§ Copies will be mailed after premier performance
o Email suggestions for next commissioning project to Joel Shaner

§ Discussion of pros and cons
Motion by Kevin Culling, second by Lisa Hicks, to enter into the F.I.C. Open Classification Pilot Project for one year. Discussion. Kevin culling called to question, seconded by Lisa Hicks, approved. Hand vote: 15 in favor, 10 opposed. Motion passed.
