MSBOA-District 8
President’s Report – Monday, May 7, 2007
WOW! The sun is shining, weather is beautiful and my grass
so tall- I’m thinking of getting goats or putting it up. I hope you have had a successful year, and
you are looking forward to the next year. Things have been very busy at the
state office, and I hope everyone takes a moment to surf the state and district
web site for information and updates.
That aside, here are some points you can be thinking about
this year:
- Look
ahead, find your membership information and set your date to get it
processed.
- Plan
to attend/participate in the many MSBOA activities that are
scheduled. We’ve got something for
all of us, many districts will give you time to attend and credit you
hours for participating.
- Think
about volunteering to help MSBOA, every little bit helps and it gives you
a personal connection with the organization and more importantly, with
fellow teachers.
- Plan
to attend at least one State MSBOA Meeting; this is our
organization. The next one is
Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Michigan State University.
- Attend
some or all of MYAF, it’s a lot of fun…If you would like to help please
talk with Jason Cunningham or call Jim Rice to volunteer.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone that makes this
organization work. Officers, Committee
Chairs, Festival Hosts and Workers…I’m proud to be from District 8.
Respectfully submitted
